Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)

There is no better time to install a Geothermal heating system! With the introduction of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) for both domestic households and non-domestic consumers, the payback period for having a system installed is very favourable.

Domestic RHI

Eligible domestic consumers can now be paid 18.8p/Kwh energy produced, allowing you not only free energy to heat your home for a period of 7 years but can also help to pay off the initial capital cost you put in. Domestic households, both on and off the gas grid can apply, however people off mains gas will have the greatest potential to save on their fuel bills. Non-domestic RHI

Generally, if the renewable heating system is in commercial, public or industrial premises, then you would apply to the Non-Domestic RHI. This can include small and large businesses, hospitals, schools, and organisations with district heating schemes where one heating system serves multiple homes. Payments are made over a 20 year period.

Tier 1: 8.7p/KWh

Tier 2: 2.6p/KWh
